Modi will hold talks with his Nigerian counterparts to review the diplomatic and strategic partnership between New Delhi and Abuja, and to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
"Prime Minister will visit Nigeria from 16-17 November, 2024. This will be the first visit by a Prime Minister of India to Nigeria in 17 years. During the visit, Prime Minister will hold talks to review the strategic partnership between India and Nigeria and discuss further avenues to enhance the bilateral relationship," MEA said.
The Prime Minister will also address a gathering by the Indian diaspora during his visit to Nigeria.
Further, Modi will also attend the G20 Summit in Brazil's Rio De Janeiro. India had hosted the Summit in 2023.
'First by an Indian PM since 1968'
Moreover, the Prime Minister will make an official visit to Guyana from November 19-21."This visit to Guyana will be the first by an Indian Prime Minister since 1968," MEA said.
In Guyana's Georgetown, Modi is set to attend the Second CARICOM-India Summit and hold bilateral meetings with CARICOM member countries.
"Prime Minister will also participate in the Second CARICOM-India Summit and hold meetings with leaders of CARICOM member countries to further enhance India’s long-standing friendship with the region," the Ministry of External Affairs said.
