Modi confirmed that he will be attending the 'Modi and US' programme in New York City, where he will meet with Indians in America.
Taking to his official X account, the Prime Minister said that the Indian-American community has distinguised itself across sectors and domains, while remaining in the states.
"The Indian community has distinguished itself in the USA, making a positive impact across diverse sectors. It’s always a delight to interact with them. At around 9:30 PM India time on Sunday, 22nd September, I will address the @ModiandUS programme in New York City. Let’s celebrate the bonds that connect our nations!" read PM Modi's statement of confirmation on X.
'Modi and US'
Modi is set to speak at the "Modi & US: Progress Together" event in New York, which has garnered 24,000 registrations so far, according to PTI.Participants from at least 42 states are expected, with a significant turnout anticipated from the tri-state area.
"We're committed to maximizing participation in this historic event," said one of the main organizers. "We are working to enhance seating arrangements and will coordinate with our Welcome Partners to prioritize attendees who confirm their presence."
Earlier this month, PTI reported that preparations for the Long Island event are in full swing.
In 2019, he participated in the "Howdy Modi" event at NRG Stadium in Houston, where he was joined by former President Donald Trump.
