The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government announced the allocation of portfolios to several elected Lok Sabha members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for Modi 3.0. Notable leaders such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S Jaishankar have retained their key portfolios from Modi government 2.0, ensuring continuity and stability in key ministries.

Key Ministers Retain Portfolios

Amit Shah, who also serves as the Minister of Cooperation, continues in his role as the Minister of Home Affairs. Rajnath Singh remains the Minister of Defence, overseeing India's national security. Nirmala Sitharaman retains her position as the Minister of Finance and adds the Corporate Affairs Ministry to her portfolio.



S Jaishankar continues as the Minister of External Affairs, overseeing India's foreign relations. Ashwini Vaishnaw has been appointed as the Minister of Railways, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, and Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, bringing his expertise to these critical sectors.

Nitin Gadkari, known for his focus on infrastructure development, continues as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways. Piyush Goyal retains his position as the Minister of Commerce and Industry, ensuring continuity in India's trade policies.

Dharmendra Pradhan remains the Minister of Education, highlighting the government's commitment to the education sector. Sarbananda Sonowal continues as the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, focusing on the development of India's maritime infrastructure.

Hardeep Singh Puri has been appointed as the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, bringing his experience to the critical energy sector.

New Assignments and Additions
In the latest reshuffle, Ashwini Vaishnaw has been appointed as the Minister of Railways, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, and Minister of Electronics and Information Technology. Nitin Gadkari, known as the 'Highway Man of India', continues as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways.

New Additions to the Cabinet

Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been assigned the portfolios of agriculture and rural development. BJP president JP Nadda will oversee the health sector, bringing his leadership to the critical ministry. Former Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has been entrusted with the responsibility of the power portfolio.

The allocation of portfolios in Modi 3.0 government reflects a mix of continuity and change, with key ministers retaining their positions and new faces bringing fresh perspectives to the Union Cabinet.
