Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal visits a Delhi government school
Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin said on Friday that his government has been creating model schools in the state on the lines of Delhi and invited his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal to visit them. He said he was particularly impressed by the courses started in Delhi government schools such as business blasters to bring out creativity and entrepreneurship in students.

Stalin, along with Kejriwal, visited a Delhi government school where officials briefed the Tamil Nadu CM on model schools in Delhi. An official said the Delhi government has been spending around 25 per cent of its budget on education consistently for the past six-seven years.

"After coming to power in Tamil Nadu, we have been giving the highest priority to the education and medical sectors. Just like how model schools are running in Delhi, we are doing in Tamil Nadu also," said Stalin.

The Tamil Nadu CM also raised the issue of pending GST compensation to states. Stalin also met Union commerce minister Piyush Goyal to discuss issues including a new textile park in Viruddhunagar, a new production linked incentive for footwear manufacturing and pending rice subsidy.
