Mob attacks police station in Assam's Doboka; two police personnel injured

Police have arrested four people following the attack in the police station. A senior police official who does not want to be named told ET, “Mob gathered in police following police action”.

The Gauhati high court had earlier reprimanded the police of Nagaon for bulldozing a house. On May 22 last year houses of those involved in setting fire to the police station were razed to ground by district administration.

Three police personnel were injured. These people were protesting against the death of a fish trader, Safikul Islam, in police custody.
