Mizoram minister declares Rs one lakh cash prize for having highest number of children

The prize will be given by NECS (North East Consultancy Services) which is official sponsor of Aizawl footfall club. Royte is promoter of AFC.

To encourage growth of population among Mizos, a minister in Mizoram has announced Rs one lakh as prize for having highest number of children in his constituency.

Mizoram’s Sports, Youth Affairs and Tourism Minister Robert Romawia Royte represents the Aizawl East-2 assembly constituency.

The prize will be given by NECS (North East Consultancy Services) which is official sponsor of Aizawl footfall club. Royte is promoter of AFC.


Robert said, "It was my announcement on Father’s Day (Sunday).The prize money would be sponsored by the NECS. "

Royte said that declining growth rate among Mizos is a matter of concern.
