Authorities have launched an urgent investigation, with some suspects already identified.
On September 1, Ram Sewak Singh, 52, an employee of a private company, visited a temple in Mayur Vihar Phase I. At approximately 4 p.m., two young men on a red motorcycle emerged from the Chilla side and stole his phone.
Later that evening, Rahul, a 21-year-old, was returning home in an e-rickshaw while using his phone. Two young men on a black scooter reportedly approached him, and the pillion rider snatched Rahul's phone.
In another incident, Avninder Parihar, a lawyer in town for a meeting, was staying at a hotel near Mayur Vihar district center. While strolling outside the hotel, a person snatched his phone.
The fourth incident occurred around 12:10 a.m. on September 2.
Pravesh Haad, 28, had stepped out to buy food when three men attempted to snatch his phone. When he resisted, one of the men stabbed him from behind.
The fifth attack took place around 6:20 a.m. on September 2.
Vineet, a 24-year-old, had just left home on his bike to go to the gym when three men on a bike tried to steal his phone. He was stabbed when he fought back.
Police suspect that the same group may be responsible for both stabbing incidents.
