A report has been sought from ministries about the implementation and progress of steps suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi such as the use of GeM portal, holding tiffin meetings with officials, and using social media to publicise the Centre's initiatives, sources revealed.

In order to increase the effectiveness and transparency of government, Modi has frequently advised his Council of Ministers to make sure that all purchases made by their departments go through the GeM portal, the government's e-commerce platform.

Sources claim that Modi has placed a strong emphasis on using social media to enlighten the public about policy decisions and engage with them.

Additionally, they stated that in order to improve governance and make it more transparent and effective, records have now been requested from ministries.

In order to develop technology-based resources, build a pool of professionals for hiring into their teams, and implement other similar initiatives to be adopted in the offices of all ministers, the Modi government’s council of ministers was divided into eight groups last year.

The ministers were divided into eight groups as part of an exercise that came after Modi led "Chintan Shivirs," or brainstorming sessions, with each meeting lasting close to five hours.
