Meghalaya: Two suspected IEDs recovered near West Garo Hills district

Two suspected IEDs hidden in a green bag under a pipe culvert were recovered near Dollongre in the West Garo Hills district. The total weight is expected to be around 10 Kg.

A senior police officer who does not want to be named told ET, “One IED was assembled in a pressure cooker and another in a tin paint box. The total weight is expected to be around 10 Kg.

The officer said, “The IEDs were destroyed. Police on Monday recovered one live grenade and six live 7.62mm ammunition.”
