Meghalaya CM Sangma: ‘40 km border fencing pending, BSF on alert as govt working aggressively’
Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma addressed concerns over border security, saying there is ‘nothing major to be concerned about’ but stressed the need for constant vigilance. He said the state government, BSF, IB and other agencies are closely monitoring the porous border, holding regular security reviews. Sangma added that border fencing work is progressing, with only 30–40 km pending out of 440 km.
