Meet the Jewel Thief who took over 100 flights, used to steal from flyers’ cabin baggage
Delhi Police arrested a jewel thief at IGI, recovering stolen jewelry and melted gold. The thief targeted seniors, stealing inside aircraft and during security checks, under the pretext of offering help.

The arrest was made by the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) team of the Delhi Police on May 13.
The Delhi Police stated that the accused had undertaken more than 100 air travels in the past year.
"A notorious jewel thief and receiver of stolen property has been arrested by Team IGI, putting an end to ongoing aircraft heists. A huge stash of stolen jewelry has been recovered. Melted gold has also been recovered," informed Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) IGI Airport, Usha Rangnani.
According to the Delhi Police, the jewel thief targeted senior citizens during flights. The thief would steal from their cabin luggage under the pretext of offering help to adjust it, as per DCP Rangnani.
"He committed the thefts inside the aircraft as well as during security checks," said DCP Rangnani.
