MEA LIVE | India urges citizens to leave Iran amid worsening security situation

India has urged its citizens in Iran to leave the country amid an unstable security situation. The Ministry of External Affairs says it is closely monitoring developments and has issued multiple advisories warning against non-essential travel to Iran.According to the MEA, around 9,000 Indian nationals are currently in Iran, most of them students. The government has advised Indians residing in the country to depart by any available means, including commercial flights, and to remain in contact with the Indian Embassy in Tehran.
