Maruti unveils India’s first flex-fuel WagonR as India looks beyond EVs

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled India’s first flex-fuel passenger car, a WagonR prototype that can run on petrol-ethanol blends up to 100% ethanol. The move puts ethanol in the mass-market mobility debate, alongside EVs, hybrids and CNG, as India looks to cut crude imports, reduce emissions and create a larger market for farmers.
