On Friday, actor and comedian Vir Das shared a post on his Instagram, calling everyone to search for Manmohan Singh's resume online and read it. He described the former prime minister's resume as 'awe-inspiring'. Das also expressed his condolences in a heartfelt post.
Das's note on Instagram read, "Do yourself a favour and Google Dr Manmohan Singh's resume. Read just the education section, then the whole thing. Awe-inspiring stuff."
Singh's eight-page resume highlights his stellar academic journey, including a doctorate in Economics from Oxford and groundbreaking economic contributions.
Manmohan Singh served as India's 13th Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014 and is revered as the architect of India’s economic liberalisation in 1991.
His death was mourned by several leaders and celebrities across fraternities. A seven-day national mourning will be announced by the central government in honour of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sources said.
PM Modi recalled his interactions with Singh and said, "Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji and I interacted regularly when he was PM, and I was the CM of Gujarat. We would have extensive deliberations on various subjects relating to governance. His wisdom and humility were always visible."
