A circular issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) has asked all the administrative secretaries to furnish details of employees who are not able to attend their official work due to the prevailing situation in the state.
Michael Achom, secretary general, administration department, stated, "All administrative secretaries are requested to furnish details of those employees who could not attend their official duty due to the prevailing situation in the state indicating the details of the employees such as designation, name, EIN, present address, to the general administrative department latest by June 28 for taking up appropriate action".
LOCAL BODIES PROTEST
The Kuki Inpi Manipur, the apex body of the Kuki tribes, said it is against the Manipur government's 'No Work, No Pay' order alleging that it was part of the government's ploy to achieve "forced peace" through "terror tactics".
