Biren while talking to media persons in Imphal said, “operation against the militants started in Jiribam however it will take place in the entire state wherever there are illegal armed militants.”

The unified command had a meeting in Manipur which decided to have a new SOP for security forces. By the end of this month Manipur will have 288 companies of central forces.
Kuldiep Singh, security advisor to the state government, recently held the review meeting of the unified command in Imphal.
