The Office of the Officer-in-Charge Saikul Police Station, Kangpokpi District, Manipur stated, "In pursuance of the Order dated 25th March,2025 from the Commisioner (Home), Government of Manipur and as per Supreme Courts direction in SLP (Cril)No.12831 of 2022, all arms license holders/Arms dealers in Kangpokpi District are to submit self attested licence copies with filled prescribed format attached herewith to their nearest local police station on or before 25" April,2025 for verification, Non-compliance may lead to license penalization and cancellation."
The order stated, "Therefore you are require to inform all gun licence holder in your village to comply the same."

Till March 6, around 1,000 looted and illegally held weapons, including many sophisticated arms, and a huge cache of ammunition, have been returned to the security forces since Governor Bhalla made the appeal for the first time on February 20.
