The order stated, "The state government, after reviewing the prevailing law and order situation, decided to continue the suspension of mobile Internet services in the territorial jurisdiction of Imphal West, Imphal East, Kakching, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Churachandpur and Kangpokpi of Manipur for another three days."
Schools have been closed since Saturday, and the department of Higher and Technical Education has ordered all government colleges, aided colleges, and private colleges to remain closed until further notice.
Following the violence on November 16, internet was suspended for two days to prevent anti-social individuals from creating law and order problems. It was extended for two more days on Monday.
