Man, having 18-months daughter on his shoulder, shot at point blank in UP's Shahjahanpur

In a shocking incident, a young father, with his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter on his shoulder, was shot at in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur. The chilling video of the shooting has gone viral on the social media, triggering a wave of shock and disbelief.

The distressing footage shows Shoaib, a young man, carrying his daughter when an armed assailant abruptly approaches. The assailant shoots Shoaib point-blank in the head. The attackers, who had been lying in wait on a motorcycle, hastily flee the scene following the ruthless act.

Hearing the gunshot, Shoaib's family members immideately rushed him to a hospital. His condition is currently described as critical, with medical care being administered in a Delhi hospital.


Remarkably, the young child escaped with minor injuries and is reported to be safe. The police have registered a report against three suspects, including the alleged shooter identified as Tariq. Two of the suspects are now in custody, while concerted efforts are underway to locate the third individual involved.

Preliminary investigations have unveiled a that the alleged shooter's brother had initially been engaged to the same woman, Chandni, who eventually married the victim, Shoaib. The broken engagement could be the reason behing the shooting.

As per reports, Tariq, the accused shooter, had repeatedly expressed intention to avenge the humiliation on multiple occasions within the community. The police have filed a murder case filed against the three individuals.

Confirming the incidence, Superintendent of Police, Ashok Kumar Meena, said, “The suspects have been identified based on video evidence. Our teams are diligently pursuing the investigation, and we are determined to bring them to justice.”
