Sunil Sharma, counsel for the husband, shared a copy of the order on Monday. He said, "The couple married in 1982 and was childless. The husband filed a divorce application in 2021 stating that his wife wouldn't let him sleep with her in the AC room and made allegations about his character."
The husband also alleged that his wife frequently taunted him about the small house and lack of facilities such as a servant and cars. Sharma added, "She fought with her husband whenever he sold off older items lying in the house."
Sharma informed the court, "After the marriage, as soon as she came to her in-laws' house, she remained suspicious and was into assassinating the character of her husband every now and then." He further said, "Due to domestic discord, he became mentally disturbed. None of the allegations levelled against the petitioner husband were proved in court."
In her response, the wife denied the allegations. She stated that she never taunted or spoke harsh words against her husband. She argued that her husband wanted to live his life in luxury without her burden and requested the dismissal of the divorce petition.
