Man and his four disabled daughters found dead after consuming poison in Vasant Kunj
Five members of a family in Delhi's Vasant Kunj area were found dead after consuming a poisonous substance. The incident, which appears to be a mass suicide, involved a father and his four physically challenged daughters. Authorities are investiga...

Neighbor Ratan said, "The caretaker called and asked about them. He informed me about a foul smell and flies in and around the house. We had not seen them for 2-3 days. We saw the father 3-4 days ago. The children never used to get out of the house. We called the landlord and the police."
The police found that all five family members had consumed a poisonous substance. Ratan added, "The police came and opened the house. The 5 bodies were lying. The mother died a few months ago, there were 4 daughters aged from 15-25 years. All four of them were physically challenged, we saw them out of the house very rarely."
Sulphas packets, a toxic pesticide, were found near the bodies, suggesting poisoning. Tetra packs of juice and a bottle of water were also recovered from the scene, which indicated they were consumed before the deaths.
The police said, "In the initial investigation, the case definitely seems to be of suicide, but how did these five take such a step together?"
A forensic investigation is ongoing with teams from Delhi, the CBI, and doctors from Safdarjung Hospital involved. Initial findings point towards suicide, but the motive remains unclear.
The daughters were found lying on a double bed, with their father’s body in an adjacent room. White foam was seen coming out of their mouths, consistent with poisoning. A red sacred thread was tied around the stomachs and necks of the daughters, adding to the mystery.
Investigations are ongoing, and more details are awaited.
