Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has come up with its new policy to boost Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR) policy.

From creation of a start of the art infrastructure in AVGC-XR parks to relaxation in stamp duty to power tariffs and no restrictions to operating 24/7 and all 365 days of the year. The Maharashtra government has gone the whole hog in pushing for the state as the new AVGC-XR hub.

The new policy aims at planning, establishing and supporting state of the art AVGC-XR parks, clusters, virtual production facilities, testing labs and shared infrastructure across the state including Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

AVGC-XR parks would be set up in the Film City in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Kolhapur, Satara and Nagpur.
