Maharashtra reports 4,255 new COVID-19 cases

2879 patients were discharged in the day, taking the tally to 77,55,183. The recovery rate in the state is 97.87%. The case fatality rate in the state is 1.86%.

For the first time since February, India reported over 10,000 new Covid-19 cases in single day. At 12,213, the daily case count has seen massive 40 per cent increase, the government data showed.
Maharashtra on Thursday recorded 4,255 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the number of active cases to 20,634. Besides, 3 COVID-19 deaths were reported in the day, taking the tally to 1,47,880.

The Mumbai circle--which consists of MCGM, Thane, TMC, Navi Mumbai, KDMC, Ulhasnagar MC, Bhivandi Nijampur MC, Mira Bhayandar MC, Palghar, Vasai Virar MC, Raigad, Panvel MC--recorded 3718 new cases.
