Maharashtra positioned as gateway to India, Chief Minister Shinde tells foreign investors
At the WEF 2023, Shinde signed MoUs for a record Rs 1.4 lakh crore investments into Maharashtra, which has the potential to generate 1,01,389 jobs in the state, an official release said.

"Against an increasingly complex and chaotic backdrop, Maharashtra offers investor confidence and it is uniquely positioned ad the gateway to India, which is one of the world's largest democracies and markets," he said.
According to him, the regional stability and a booming economy make the state important for future growth and development for "all our investors".
"In addition to business leaders, I have also met key political and government representatives from several countries, including Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, among others," the chief minister said.
He also said his state is attracting significant investments, particularly in greenfield sectors like data centres, pharmaceuticals, logistics, chemicals, automobiles and electric vehicles.

The release said that Shinde signed 19 MoUs with globally-renowned companies like Berkshire Hathaway, ICP investments, New Era CleanTech, Gogoro India, Greenko Energy Projects, Wabio and Mahindra Electric Vehicle Automobile.
