Maharashtra govt extends Covid restrictions in state till June 1

According to new guidelines, restrictions applicable on those coming from places of 'sensitive origins' will be applicable to all those coming from any part of the country.

Maharashtra government has extended the restrictions put inplace to control the second Covid wave till 7 am on June 1.

Earlier, the lockdown was extended till May 15. Also, anyone entering the state through any mode of transportation will have to carry a negative RT-PCR report.

The test report will have to be issued within 48 hours before the time of entry into the state.


According to new guidelines, restrictions applicable on those coming from places of 'sensitive origins' will be applicable to all those coming from any part of the country.

Also, only one driver and one cleaner/helper will be allowed in a cargo carrier and those who come from outside the state will have to carry a negative RTPCR test report.

The state reported over 46,781 Covid cases on Wednesday with 816 deaths.
