Maharashtra earthquake: 3.6 magnitude tremor hits Palghar, no injuries or damage reported

A tremor measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale struck Maharashtra’s Palghar district on Saturday night, officials said on Sunday. The earthquake was recorded at around 10:33 pm, with its epicentre located in the Talasari area at a depth of approximately 5 kilometres, according to officials.

No Injuries Or Property Damage Reported

"There is no case of any injury or damage to houses," district Disaster Management Cell chief Vivekanand Kadam said.

Officials said there were no reports of injuries or damage to buildings following the tremor.

Authorities Monitor Situation

Local authorities are keeping a watch on the situation and monitoring the area following the earthquake.

Palghar, located in coastal Maharashtra, has recorded several low-intensity tremors over the years. Authorities have urged residents to remain calm and follow standard earthquake safety precautions.
