Singh and Vaze even made a fake passport of the gangster to show that he had visited Pakistan as part of the plan, the minister alleged. Singh has since been transferred and appointed Home Guards DG, shortly after which he went missing fearing arrest by the Mumbai Police, but surfaced a few days ago after gaining protection from arrest from the Supreme Court. Vaze has been dismissed from the force and has been in jail in the Antilia bomb case.
"The fake passport was made with forged seals on entry and exit from Pakistan. It was meant to frame the local gangster. However, things changed after the death of Mansukh Hiren (in whose car the explosives were planted). If Hiren had not died, there would have been a fake encounter (of the gangster) as part of the conspiracy," Malik alleged. "Parambir Singh and Vaze were involved in the entire Antilia conspiracy."
