Gangapuri Maharaj Chhotu Baba Prayagraj Mahakumbh
Gangapuri Maharaj, a 57-year-old spiritual figure from Assam’s Kamakhya Peeth, has become a key attraction at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Known for his height of just 3 feet 8 inches, Gangapuri Maharaj, also referred to as Chhotu Baba, has gained widespread attention for his unique appearance and his claim of not having bathed for the past 32 years.

The Reason Behind His Unusual Practice
Gangapuri Maharaj explained his decision not to bathe, stating, "I do not take a bath because I have a wish which has not been fulfilled in the last 32 years. I will not take a bath in the Ganga." Despite this, he expressed happiness about attending the event, saying, "I am very happy to come here. You people are also here I am happy in that also."

Devotees Flock to Prayagraj for Maha Kumbh
The Maha Kumbh Mela, a major religious event held every 12 years, has attracted a large number of devotees. The celebrations will continue until February 26, with key bathing dates on January 14, January 29, and February 3. To ensure safety, the district administration has implemented a series of measures, including crowd management and fire safety protocols.

Safety Measures at the Event
To prevent accidents and ensure the safety of the vast crowd, the district administration has deployed additional personnel and technological tools. Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs) and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) have been stationed for rapid response, while firefighting robots and fire mist bikes will handle any fire-related incidents. Furthermore, firefighting boats, which will use water from the river to control flames, are set to arrive soon.

Technological Innovation in Ticketing
In an effort to streamline the ticketing process, the Prayagraj division of North Central Railway has introduced a new technology initiative. Pilgrims can now easily obtain unreserved tickets by scanning a QR code on specially marked personnel in green jackets at key locations. This will allow them to download the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app and avoid long ticketing queues.

The Maha Kumbh Mela continues to be an important event for millions of devotees, and the administration is committed to ensuring the safety and convenience of all those attending.
