With the draft list now public, a month-long "Claims and Objections" period has commenced across all 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh, ending January 15, 2026. This phase is particularly vital for the voters currently under "Notice" status, whose names risk permanent deletion if identity verification is not completed. Residents are urged to verify their status immediately through the Voters' Service Portal or local polling stations to ensure their participation in the upcoming 2026 electoral cycle, as unverified entries will be struck off the final roll scheduled for February 14.
How to Check Your Name in the MP SIR Draft roll
1. Online (The Fastest Way):- Visit the Voters' Service Portal (voters.eci.gov.in) or the CEO Madhya Pradesh website
- Use the 'Search by EPIC' (Voter ID Number) option.
- If your name appears, check if your Polling Station has changed. Due to new rules, many booths were rearranged to limit voters to 1,200 per station.
- Voter Helpline App: This mobile app is the most convenient way to search. Simply enter your EPIC number to see your polling booth details and serial number.
2. Offline Way:
- Visit the Polling Station: Every local polling station (usually schools or government buildings) will have a physical copy of the draft roll.
- Booth Level Officer (BLO): You can contact your BLO directly. The CEO’s office has confirmed that lists of deleted (deceased/shifted) voters are also available with BLOs for transparency.
- You can also check the ASD List (Absent, Shifted, Dead). If your name is on this list by mistake, you must act immediately.
What to do if your name is missing or "Flagged"?
If you find an error or your name is missing, you have until January 15, 2026, to submit the following:- Form 6: If your name is missing or you are a new voter (18+ as of Jan 1, 2026).
- Form 7: To request the deletion of a name (e.g., a family member who has passed away).
- Form 8: If your name is there but your address, photo, date of birth, update a blurred photo or relative's name is wrong.
- Important: If you are part of the "unmatched" voters, you must respond to the ERO's notice with identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.) to ensure you aren't deleted in the final Feb 14 list.
Special Camps for Voters
The Election Commission will organize Special Camps at polling stations on designated weekends (usually Saturdays and Sundays). At these camps, BLOs and officials will be present in person to help you fill out forms and collect self-attested documents.Documents required for claims or corrections
