Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav leads high-level state delegation on global investment mission in Dubai

Dubai’s glittering skyline provided the backdrop for Madhya Pradesh’s push to put its industrial ambitions on the global investment map, as Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav led a high-level delegation through a packed first day of engagements in the UAE.

The four-day visit is aimed at expanding Madhya Pradesh’s business outreach, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and building industrial partnerships, while positioning the state as a competitive destination for businesses.

The delegation is also participating in AIM Congress 2026, being held from September 7 to 9, where it will showcase the state’s key sectors, industrial capabilities and development plans.


After arriving at Dubai International Airport, the delegation was received by officials of the Indian Mission. Later, around 50 members of the Indian diaspora, led by Jitendra Vaidya, welcomed Yadav at Hotel Fortune Atrium.

The chief minister described the diaspora as an important link in the state’s development and international outreach.

Yadav also inaugurated an exhibition of Madhya Pradesh’s One District One Product (ODOP) and Geographical Indication (GI) products at Taj Dubai, Business Bay. The display featured Betul’s bell metal craft, Ashoknagar’s Chanderi sarees, Maheshwari sarees from Maheshwar in Khargone, Ujjain’s Batik prints, Bhopal’s Zari-Zardozi embroidery and Gwalior carpets.

The exhibition seeks to give local artisans access to international buyers and create avenues for exports and new economic opportunities.

During meetings with India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Dr Deepak Mittal, and Consul General of India in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Dr E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Yadav discussed ways to deepen economic engagement between Madhya Pradesh and the UAE.

The delegation highlighted the state’s industrial land availability, connectivity, investor-friendly policies, logistics network and industrial infrastructure.

Yadav sought the Indian Mission’s assistance in connecting the state with UAE sovereign wealth funds, major corporate groups, business organisations and institutional investors. He also invited the ambassador and consul general to the Global Investors Summit-2027.

At a special luncheon hosted for Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, Yadav discussed potential cooperation in trade, agriculture, tourism and education. He highlighted opportunities in renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, textiles, logistics, advanced manufacturing and urban infrastructure.

The discussions also covered food processing, agricultural value chains, cold-chain infrastructure and agricultural logistics, with a focus on long-term export cooperation.

CM Yadav invited Al Yamahi and an Arab business delegation to Madhya Pradesh for GIS-2027. He also sought special invitations for parliamentary leaders and Speakers of Parliaments from Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the UAE and Yemen.

In a media interaction, Yadav said the state’s investment strategy extends beyond attracting capital and is focused on creating a dependable platform for sustained business growth. He pointed to the single-window system, fast-track approvals, progressive industrial policies and Madhya Pradesh’s strategic geographical position as key investor advantages.

The day ended with Yadav attending the invitation-only ‘Tycoons Dinner’ at AIM Congress 2026, hosted by Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, President of AIM Congress.

The gathering brought together sovereign wealth funds, family offices, institutional investors, global companies, financial institutions and government representatives. Yadav used the interactions to outline Madhya Pradesh’s capabilities in manufacturing, food processing, renewable energy, logistics, urban infrastructure, technology and export-oriented industries, while pitching GIS-2027 as a platform for deeper international economic partnerships.
