Madhya Pradesh bus mishap: At least 13 deaths reported

"Twelve people died and 15 people have been rescued," news agency ANI reported citing MP Minister Narottam Mishra. He also informed that the rescue operations are being carried at the site.

Madhya Pradesh: At least 12 killed, many missing after bus fell into Narmada river
A Maharashtra Roadways bus fell off the Khalghat Sanjay Setu in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh claiming at leas 13 lives on Monday, reported ANI.

"Twelve people died and 15 people have been rescued," news agency ANI reported citing MP Minister Narottam Mishra. He also informed that the rescue operations are being carried at the site.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from PMNRF for the kin of those who lost their lives due to the bus tragedy in state. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000, the Prime Minister's Office tweeted quoting PM Modi.


The bus containing 55 people was going from Indore to Pune, when it lost its balance and fell off the bridge.

The Dhamnod Police and Khaltaka Police rushed to the spot and conducted rescue operations with the help of divers.

So far, two injured persons have been taken to the Dhamnod Government Hospital in Madhya Pradesh.
