A woman riding pillion on a bike was harassed by a group of men on a waterlogged road in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, as shown in a viral video. The video, shared by news agency IANS, captures a disturbing incident where a man and a woman were trying to navigate a flooded road under the Taj Hotel Bridge. As per reports, four miscreants have been arrested in relation to the incident.

Watch Group Splashes Water and Harasses

In the footage, several men standing in knee-deep water continuously splashed water on the couple. As the duo attempted to cross the group, a few men pulled the two-wheeler from behind, causing them to fall. The video also shows one man groping the woman during the chaos.

Police Intervention

The crowd was eventually dispersed by the police. Responding to the incident, the Lucknow Police stated on social media platform X that they are working to identify the perpetrators using CCTV footage. "The Gomti Nagar police station immediately reached the spot and dispersed the crowd. On the basis of CCTV footage, the people creating chaos have been identified and action is being taken against them. At present, the situation is peaceful," the police said.


After the fall, a bystander was seen helping the woman to get up. The police's swift action brought the situation under control, and the area is now peaceful. The authorities are continuing their efforts to bring those responsible to justice.

UP Assembly flooded

Heavy rain in Lucknow on Wednesday caused severe waterlogging in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly building, leading to dramatic scenes. Assembly officials were seen wading through knee-deep water inside the premises, and reports indicate that rainwater even entered the Assembly Secretariat office. Other areas of the city also faced significant waterlogging. Additionally, the IMD has issued a flash flood alert for western Uttar Pradesh.
