Under a 30-year lease agreement, the land near the Saryu river will be provided to NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, with the state government collecting a nominal rent in return. With an infusion of approximately Rs 160 crore in capital, the company will oversee the development of the power station.
Anticipated to produce more than 7 crore units of clean energy, the plant's output will feed into the city's supply grid, contributing to the local energy needs. The state government will bear the expenses for establishing the power grid and transmission system, allotting a provision of Rs 9 crore for this purpose.
The final tariff structure will be determined based on the average cost of generating a single unit of energy. This initiative aligns with the city's ongoing efforts to prioritize eco-friendly and sustainable practices, with local authorities emphasizing the integration of green energy solutions and wastewater discharge plants in all upcoming commercial projects within Ayodhya.
Meanwhile, as per several reports the grand inauguration of Ram Temple is scheduled to be in early 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2020 performed the 'bhoomi pujan' of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
