Divine intrusion
At precisely 5:50 pm, a nimble monkey entered the temple through the southern gate, making its way towards the revered Utsav idol of Lord Ram. Contrary to the initial alarm raised by security guards fearing potential harm to the idol, the monkey calmly traversed the sanctum without causing any disruption.
As security personnel approached, the monkey gracefully headed towards the northern gate. With the gate closed, it smoothly turned eastward, navigating through the crowd of awe-struck devotees. Exiting through the eastern gate, the monkey left without causing any trouble, creating a momentary spectacle.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, in a statement posted on X, described the incident as 'beautiful.' Many devotees perceived the monkey's visit as a divine sign, interpreting it as a manifestation of Lord Hanuman's continued guardianship over Lord Ram and his blessings upon the newly established temple.
The temple, opened for devotees on Tuesday, witnessed an overwhelming response, with over five lakh people thronging as soon as its gates swung open. The event followed the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla held on Monday, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the idol after hour-long rituals, leading the consecration ceremony attended by 7,200-odd guests from across the globe.
