LG gives job letters to next of kin of Jammu terror victims

Srinagar: J&K LG Manoj Sinha on Thursday handed over appointment letters to 41 next of kin of terror victims of Jammu division. Sinha said these families were struggling in silence for decades and justice was denied to them.

The LG said abrogation of Article 370 brought dynamic changes in J&K and now militants, separatists and their patrons are not given government jobs but are being identified and given the harshest punishment.

"The deep scars of the terror victims' families were never healed. Such families are now being recognised, respected and rehabilitated," he said, adding, "Our mission is to bring about a change in the lives of those families who were deliberately deprived of justice so that they can contribute to society's all-round progress and nation building."
