In the residential area of Roop Nagar, located in Delhi, an unexpected and alarming event unfolded as a leopard managed to gain entry into a house. The incident resulted in injuries to five individuals, prompting swift action from the authorities. Upon receiving an alert at 6:20 am on Monday, the Delhi Fire Service promptly mobilised its resources, dispatching two fire tenders to the scene to address the emerging crisis.

“Delhi Fire Service got information about the incident around 6.20 am and two fire tenders were rushed to Jagatpur village in Delhi's Wazirabad,” Delhi Fire Service chief Atul Garg said.



With the assistance of local residents, fire service officials worked diligently to contain the situation.

Their efforts culminated in successfully confining the leopard within a designated room, thereby mitigating the immediate threat posed by the wild animal.

"With the help of the locals, the officials were able to lock the leopard in a room. The injured were taken to a hospital," Garg said.

However, the consequences of the encounter had already manifested in injuries sustained by several individuals.
