Lavrov, Jaishankar hold talks on bilateral ties and rising tensions after Pahalgam terror attack

On May 4, 2025, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone conversation with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. They discussed key areas of Russia-India cooperation and rising India-Pakistan tensions after the terrorist attack near Pahalgam. Both sides emphasized diplomacy and the relevance of the Simla Agreement.
