The landside is triggere by continuous rain. A senior police official said, “Tthe incident occurred at around 12. 45pm on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Bipin Kumar and Rahul Kumar.”
The police rescued four labourers who were trapped in the mud. Of the four injured, one with severe injuries is undergoing treatment at Lohit zonal general hospital, police said.
Flash floods triggered by heavy rain struck several parts of Arunachal Pradesh's Lohit district on Wednesday.
Floodwater entered over 40 houses in Shivaji Nagar. The Lohit district administration and disaster management officials have launched a rescue and relief operation to assist the affected people. Teams from SDRF and the police had also been deployed for rescue and relief operations.
