Kolkata: Besides CBI, ED to probe Bengal SSC Recruitment scam

Apart from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will investigate the School Service Commission (SSC) recruitment-related irregularities and other cases in West Bengal.

The ED will probe the financial angle in the cases. CBI has already started investigation following the Calcutta High Court order, sources close to the development said. The CBI is investigating all SSC recruitment scam related cases and also the Group-C and Group-D recruitment cases. Meanwhile, the HC on Wednesday gave a 4-week stay on a single bench's order on Tuesday asking the former education minister, Partha Chatterjee, to appear before the CBI.-OPB
