New Delhi: India has flagged the reputational costs of supporting attempts to shield terrorist infrastructure, amid reports of Chinese assistance to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.

The remarks came after reports in Chinese media claimed that Chinese engineers were present at Pakistani airbases and assisted fighter aircraft operations during the conflict.

In a pointed message, the MEA on Tuesday said it had seen reports that "corroborate what was known earlier", referring to Chinese support for the Pakistani armed forces during Op Sindoor.

"It is for nations that consider themselves responsible to reflect on whether supporting attempts to protect terrorist infrastructure affects their reputation and standing," the MEA spokesperson said. Indian military leaders have previously flagged Chinese support to Pakistan.
