Kerala witnesses massive surge in COVID cases, now accounts for nearly 50% of all active infections

Kerala witnessed a massive single-day spike of 22129 COVID cases. The state now has over 1.45 lakh active cases of COVID. Kerala remains to be worst-hit state by coronavirus in India. “In Kerala especially in Kottayam, COVID positive rate is very high. Children below 10 years are roaming without masks. No protocols are being followed including the rural areas says a local,” said a local.
