Kerala weather update: Yellow alert for rainfall issued in Wayanad, Malappuram; Temperature to rise across the state

Additionally, the Central Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of light rain in isolated places in Idukki and Ernakulam districts in the next hour. The Meteorological Department has advised against fishing off Kerala and Lakshadweep coasts.
Meanwhile, high temperature warning also continues in the state. Temperatures are likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in all districts. The temperature may rise up to 38 degree Celsius in Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts. The temperature may rise up to 37 degree Celsius in Malappuram and Ernakulam districts and up to 35 degree Celsius in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Alappuzha districts.
The warning states that the temperature is likely to rise up to 34 degree Celsius in Wayanad and Kollam districts. It will reach up to 33 degree Celsius in Thiruvananthapuram and 32 degree Celsius in Idukki.
The public is advised to be cautious and be aware of the the risk of sunstroke and heatstroke. Three people suffered from heatstroke in Pathanamthitta, Kozhikode and Malappuram districts in the past days.
