The new rule applies to all regardless of them completing both doses of vaccination and possessing negative RT-PCR reports.
The State Government on Monday announced people coming from Kerala to Karnataka should undergo a week-long quarantine besides a testing for Covid-19 infection on the seventh day.

The new rule applies to all regardless of them completing both doses of vaccination and possessing negative RT-PCR reports.

A high-level meeting chaired by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai took a decision to this effect on grounds that Kerala still has a high positivity rate.

On August 25, Union Health & Family Welfare Ministry had notified that asymptomatic persons who have received second dose of vaccine at least 15 days prior to travel and and are carrying vaccination certificates need not carry negative RT-PCR report for their entry into a state.

They also need not undergo an antigen test, too. Only those found asymptomatic need undergo an antigen test, it said.
