In Dharwad, a 40-minute afternoon downpour resulted in waterlogged streets flooded homes, with a mix of rainwater and sewage entering houses, forcing residents to spend hours clearing the mess.
Traffic came to a standstill and key junctions as roads were experienced water logging. Motorists were seen pushing their vehicles through floods, while pedestrians waded through ankle-deep water
In Belagavi district's Saundatti taluk, Saturday evening’s heavy rainfall flooded over 10 homes and damged belongings. A farmer reported loss of 50 fertiliser bags, each weighing 50 kg.
