Bengaluru: Industries minister MB Patil will lead a high-level delegation to France and the Netherlands from September 7 to 11 to hold roadshows and discussions with global companies as part of Karnataka’s efforts to attract investments into the state.

The delegation left for France early Sunday. Industries department principal secretary S Selvakumar, industries commissioner Khushboo Goel, KIADB CEO Govind Reddy, Chief Minister’s deputy secretary R Yathish and other officials are part of the delegation, said Industries department in a statement.

In France, the delegation will hold discussions with companies including Roquette and LFB Group in pharmaceuticals, bioMerieux in in-vitro diagnostics, and aerospace and defence companies such as Hutchinson, Safran, Thales, LISI Aerospace and GICAT.


It will also meet automotive company Somfy, precision engineering company Mecachrome, dairy company Savencia and materials company Arkema, among others.

The delegation will travel to the Netherlands on September 10 and 11, where it will meet semiconductor company Nexperia, animal nutrition company Royal De Hues, Royal Boskalis, brewery company Royal Swinkels and confectionery company Perfetti Van Melle.

Patil said the delegation will brief investors on investment opportunities in Karnataka and the state’s new industrial policy, which focuses on manufacturing and exports.

The discussions will also cover the state’s single-window clearance system, incentives and concessions, and availability of land, water, power and airport infrastructure.

The delegation will also highlight the Industrial Facilitation Act and the state’s energy and EV policies.

Patil said Karnataka needs to engage directly with investors amid growing competition from neighbouring states. The France and Netherlands visit is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts over the past three years to attract investments through roadshows and investor meetings.
