Karnataka clears 61 industrial projects worth Rs 3830 crore investment

Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani chaired a meeting of the single-window clearance committee. Some of the investments cleared were proposed by Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts, Micron Technology, Sitaram Ispat and Jindal Industries Hissar.

The committee cleared additional investments of about Rs 76 crore for six projects.
The State Government on Friday approved 61 industrial projects worth about Rs 3830 crore with a potential to add about 19,510 jobs.

Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani chaired a meeting of the single-window clearance committee. Some of the investments cleared were proposed by Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts, Micron Technology, Sitaram Ispat and Jindal Industries Hissar.

The committee has considered and approved 13 important large and medium size industrial projects with investments of more than Rs 50 crore. These projects worth about Rs 2979 are expected to add 16,158 jobs.


The committee also approved 42 new projects with investments of more than Rs 15 crore but less than Rs 50 crore . The projects worth about Rs 774 crore are expected to add 3352 jobs.

The committee cleared additional investments of about Rs 76 crore for six projects.

Additional chief secretary (Industries) EV Ramana Reddy, Industries Commissioner Gunjan Krishna, KIADB CEO N Shivashankar and Karnataka Udyoga Mitra MD Doddabasavaraju were also present at the meeting.

Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Commerce, and Industries, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Science & Technology, Gunjan Krishna, Commissioner for Industrial Development, and Director of Industries and Commerce of Karnataka, Dr. N. Shivshankar, CEO, KIADB, Shri Doddabasavaraju, Managing Director, Karnataka Udyog Mitra Bengaluru, and other senior officers were present.
