Agencies
Starting today, July 11, Noida Police have put an extensive traffic advisory into effect to manage the massive influx of devotees during the Kanwar Yatra 2025. The curbs, designed to ensure smooth passage for Kanwariyas across Gautam Buddh Nagar, will remain in force until July 25.

Dedicated Kanwar lane

According to SSP Vipin Tada, one lane on many major routes will be reserved exclusively for Kanwariyas, while the other will accommodate light vehicles.

To reduce congestion and improve safety, all heavy, medium, and light commercial goods vehicles traveling from Delhi towards Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Moradabad, and adjoining regions face strict entry restrictions starting tonight at 10 pm.

These measures affect highways and intercity routes connecting Delhi, Uttarakhand, and western Uttar Pradesh.

Real-time coordination

In line with the DGP’s guidelines, an inter-state WhatsApp group has been set up to enable real-time updates and coordination between officials from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Rajasthan. This system will help manage crowds, monitor route conditions, and coordinate security.

Key intersections have been equipped with additional lighting, electronic display boards, and clear directional signage. Several highways have also been prepared for diversions to handle the anticipated traffic surge.
