Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood actor and BJP’s MP-elect from Himachal Pradesh Mandi, on Thursday alleged that a CISF security official at Chandigarh Airport slapped her while she was travelling to Delhi. As per reports, she was slapped by CISF official at the Chandigarh airport for making statement on farmers.

Responding to the incident, Kangana Ranaut shared a video on X and captioned it, "Shocking rise in terror and violence in Punjab…." The actress-turned-politician said that she was hit on face and abused by a CISF official.

Meanwhile, CISF has suspended the woman constable and given a complaint against her at the local police station for FIR, in connection with slapping BJP leader and actor Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport, ANI said quoting a senior CISF officer as saying.

Upon arriving in Delhi, Kangna Ranaut reportedly met with CISF Director General Nina Singh and other senior officials to explain the incident.

During the 2020-2021 farmer agitation against the three farm laws, Kangana Ranaut allegedly misidentified a woman farmer from Punjab as Bilkis Bano, an elderly woman who gained international attention during the anti-CAA protests in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh. Ranaut shared a post on Twitter (now X) suggesting that the "Shaheen Bagh Dadi" had joined the farmers' protests at Delhi's border points. With the caption stating the "same Dadi" featured in Time Magazine was "available in 100 rupees," Ranaut retweeted the post with pictures of two elderly women, including Bilkis Bano. She later deleted her posts after Twitter users pointed out the two women were different.
