J&K DSP Davinder Singh, arrested in terror case, dismissed from service
Singh was detained on January 11 last year, when he was caught travelling to New Delhi with two militants on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.

The order reads that the LG is satisfied after considering the facts and circumstances of the case and on the basis of information available that the activities of Davinder Singh are such as to warrant his dismissal from service. Earlier this year, the J&K administration constituted a task force to scrutinise government employees suspected of activities requiring action under Article 311(2) (c) of the Constitution . Article 311 was extended to J&K after the withdrawal of special status on August 5, 2019. One of its provisions says that the retention of a person in public service is prejudicial to the security of the state and his services can be terminated without recourse to normal inquiry.
In other separate orders issued by the administration here, two teachers Bashir Ahmad Sheikh of Karnah area of Kupwara and Mohammad Yousuf Ganie of Trich area of Kupwara were dismissed on similar grounds.
