Srinagar: J&K administration on Monday terminated the services of 103 appointees in the Fire and Emergency Services Department after an official inquiry and ACB investigation established that their recruitment was "illegal and fraudulently manipulated". The home department of the J&K government, which reports to LG Manoj Sinha, informed that the recruitments made in 2020 were "illegal, void ab initio, and cancelled with immediate effect". The decision was taken after a report by an inquiry committee constituted in 2022 and ACB investigation was submitted.
